L.B.'s weekly Twitter Round up #4
If you like these recaps, give this post a like, would you?

Marc Clair @MarcDClair
After @RealSpikeCohen and @ComicDaveSmith kick off the New Year, what should the next @LionsofLiberty debate of 2022 be?If you happen to subscribe to my newsletter and have a bone to pick with me, let’s see whether the Great Marc Clair would like to have it as a debate on lions. My policy is either friendly conversation (which can be moderated) or formal debate (which must be moderated and have an agreed upon resolution).

Recently was on Jose’s stream, check it out! you can find me on other shows at beenawake.com/appearances

The Hill @thehill
"I mean, it’s strange that people think of Joe Biden as a leader for the climate when you see what his administration is doing," she said. https://t.co/6x9dFMR3uMI call this tweet “layered irony.” It’s always difficult to know how genuine a believer someone like Greta Thundberg is. Given how much the Press hypes up Right-wing media, I thought I would play along with a little tongue in cheek jab.

Read this twitter thread if you want to understand how a good person gets treated in the justice system.

Break The Cycle w/ Joshua Smith @BreakJoshua
Never reached out to Delaware during the farce of a coup, supports laws legalizing transitioning children, nodded along to racial reparations, and even posted his Vax pass on his fb. Why would Mises Caucus members support him? Give me your honest reasons...(2/)I’ve largely backed out of Libertarian Party politics (I’d recommend you do the same). Even so, I don’t like how Josh Smith is being treated by the Mises Caucus brass. He worked ridiculously hard building support for the caucus and for reasons beyond me, they don’t want to support him for vice-chair.
It’s politics of course.
Don’t forget, Twitter isn’t the full experience of better sensemaking. I like using Twitter for quick reacts and beefing. The substack and podcast are where you get the full picture of what I mean.
Happy 2022.

L.B. Muñiz @TheLBMuniz
If we were having a conversation about fruit and you were insisting that apples and oranges were separate things with no implied causal connection whatsoever because they were different colors you would be special pleading, another fallacy as to Motte & Bailey... (1/4) https://t.co/4QEOuoACoiRhetorical battle was had between I and @ace_archist, too bad he doesn’t want to follow it up with a podcast.

Stephanie Ruhle Reports @RuhleOnMSNBC
Classes at Chicago Public Schools are canceled today as the union there votes to go remote amid the omicron variant surge. @sambrocknbc @maurabarrett @DrRichBesser Join @SRuhle with the latest developments. 9AM @MSNBCThis week the Chicago teacher’s Union decided that teachers don’t have to work their jobs in order to be paid. Are there layers to this story? you betcha, but I think the lead should be firing teachers who don’t want to work. I don’t have sympathy for people who are too scared to work because millions of us never stopped. And you know…. the virus won’t kill you so it’s not a big deal.
^aka the Fauci method.

Dave Smith @ComicDaveSmith
Freedom of movement is not an inherent natural right. You don’t have a right to enter property that does not belong to you unless you are invited. https://t.co/KERUNBQ8lvIn 2022, I’m going to do my best at reframing the way we look at issues. Whether “immigration policy” ought to have “open” or “closed” borders is not a fruitful discussion. More to come, or read this article I wrote last year.

You know who you are and I’m grateful.

CNN @CNN
How should kids be taught about Jan. 6? “For the first time in American history, we did not have a peaceful transfer of power. This is really a ruptured departure in American history,” Albert Broussard, a longtime textbook writer, tells @smerconish. https://t.co/qmFfbjWnABWhen the transfer of power resumes 4 hours later. It is by definition peaceful (albeit with an interruption).
There’s a lot of talk about how covid is mild thanks to vaccinations. When I had the uber scary strain it wasn’t that bad. Yes, I was sick and being sick sucks. I wasn’t immobilized and felt better after a few days without seeing a doctor.

Chris REDACTED, MD @ChrisREDACTED
@TheLBMuniz Yeah, because you have something to say that resembles original thought as opposed to just snarkily spouting off pre-packaged responses all day.
Dr Jordan B Peterson @jordanbpeterson
Soon all the women's athletic records will be superseded. Oh well. https://t.co/eAv1pN1AlpThe women’s athletic record will be superseded because transgender women have an unfair advantage in many sports.
“Oh well” should be the motto for all of us who tried to warn people and were called bigots for our trouble.

Just an observation
