When Andrew from Popular Liberty and MisesGOP.org asked me to join him in reading the book by the Late Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre I wasn’t sure what to think. I knew that the Society of Pope Pious X had a tenuous relationship with Rome, largely in response to their disagreements with liturgical changes made to the mass after Vatican II. (Technically speaking Benedict XVI helped resolve some of this with his allowing of the Latin Mass.)
Leaving aside complex theological debates and soft schisms - the book itself and arguments of the late Archbishop speak for themselves. Andrew and I read through each chapter providing commentary as we feel appropriate about how this relates to modern political questions - and how it shows us the path to what will come next.
Honestly this examination has been one of the more intellectually stimulating things I’ve done recently and necessary to the recalibration I feel is required for liberty to survive.
I will keep this page updated with each chapter as we complete them1
