A lot of people will ask questions about what a “post libertarian” believes or what a “post-libertarianism” philosophy looks like. More often than not, the “post libertarians” are castigated and demonized as a bunch of meanies on Twitter.
When I first heard people talking about being “post-libertarian” I was immediately skeptical of their positions. Being that I had spent many years advocating libertarianism, I thought these new critics were more than likely misguided.
My method of practicing skepticism forces me to doubt my own conclusions about the world we live in, and to explore alternative perspectives. So instead of reacting against the “post-libertarians” I listened.
What I discovered was that many of us “libertarians” or otherwise had been profoundly impacted by the lockdowns and covid-tyranny of 2020.
What I discovered was that in order to have liberty survive the 21st century we needed to contend with “The Post Libertarian Moment.”

While it’s easy to dismiss new ideas, especially ones that question the very foundation of your worldview, I would hope that you’ve found this page because you’re curious.
There is no one solution to the post-libertarian moment, and it does not per se refute many of the insights found in Austrian Economics and good Libertarian theory. The problem arises in part because as libertarian ideas became more popular, people started treating an economic and legal theory with a moral ordering.
